Notes
Focus is on the history
and development of clowning throughout the ages. It is a light and
educational approach towards a gaining respect in those who wear
the floppy shoes and red noses.
Balancing Made SimpleKenny
Balancing is a skill
that is impressive and easily learned. The key to success is practice
and concentration. With a specially designed teaching method, all
class participants will learn the skill of balancing and be given
ideas on how to present their new found skill.
Beginning Juggling
I have a proven track
record, everyone that I have ever worked with has learned how to
juggle by the end of a class. The class limited to 20 students.
Juggling scarves and bean bags are provided.
Circus Skills for
the KlutzKenny
Students will get to
experience skills they never imagined they could develop with their
clown. Bring the excitement of the circus to a school show or to
the living room. (Class limit 20)
Clowning and Circus
Across the CurriculumBrenda
Ideas for teachers on
putting together programming that that will meet most any curriculum
need in the classroom. This program has been presented at professional
educator conferences. Many resource materials are provided.
Comedy Development
and Performance
This is a real adventure!
The techniques and methods used in defining a comedy routine are
explained. Through brainstorming and applying the class methods
learned, we will actually create a routine through group sharing
and improvisation.
Creative Thinking
Creativity enhancement
exercises themed towards comedy and clowning. Provides participants
with exercises that will help them open their mind to new ideas
and how to break through a creative block.
Dare to Succeed...Solo
Performing & ImprovisationKenny
Its you, the audience
and a performing space; this is what I do. I will share techniques
on how to gain the confidence to command a performing spaceby
yourself.
Educational Programs
for Elementary SchoolBrenda
Guidelines and advice
for presenting the "art" of the Clown to elementary school
children. Education is important but, keeping the magic of clowning
throughout that education can be tricky; learn how its done.
Facial ImaginationKenny
This class will focus
on how to communicate with a personal facial vocabulary and how
to tie this skill with your body movement. Bring hand mirrors to
class.
How to use PropsKenny
This class focuses on
prop manipulation and purpose. Bring a favorite prop or new prop
to class to work with.
Intermediate JugglingKenny
All participants must
be able to do a three ball cascade. You will also be exposed to
clubs and eccentric juggling. The emphasis is on performance and
developing a comedy routine.
Intuition & Character
This class will present
a common sense approach to developing your clown character. We will
frame ideas and methods to finding and promoting growth with your
character.
Juggling with One
ClubBrenda
Learn how to perform
with just one club. Youll be surprised how much can be done!
This is a perfect class for those beginning to juggle clubs. All
participants will leave class with a working routine concept to
develop.
Make-up and You
Basics on creating and
applying a clown make-up that is unique to your own face. Students
must provide their own a basic make-up kit
Mime and ClowningBrenda
Mime is a stylized skill
that all clowns should have a working knowledge of, even if you
speak when you perform. The basics are explained and taught and
ideas how to incorporate these basics are explored.
