Technical & Personal Requirements for Clown Antics programs

Host provides...

• All marketing of the program. A camera ready flyer will be provided for duplication and mailing.

• Class rooms;

• Large enough for all participants to move about comfortably (ex. school gym, church, theater stage, hotel conference room etc.). 8’ plus ceiling height is preferred. (two rooms required with weekend program; one room should be able to accommodate all participants)

• Secured space to lock up equipment if two days are scheduled.

• Private space with no distractions, which will also allow for loud people and music .

• Control manager with on site control of room temperature, lighting and keys.

• Bathroom facilities and drinking fountains.

• Chairs for all.

• One cafeteria styled table. (two required with weekend program)

• One free standing dry erase board or chalkboard and writing utensils.

• VCR and Monitor (two required with weekend program).

• Four 4’x8’ standard gym mats (would be perfect, but not required).

• Cooler(s) or refrigerator for folk’s snacks, lunch and drinks.

• One CD/Tape player (two required with weekend program).

Participants provide...

• Comfortable loose clothing (ex. sneakers, jazz shoes, etc.).

• Costume pants or skirt and clown shoes, we will only wear these part of the day.

Do not wear clown make—up.

• Bag lunch with beverage and something to snack on (ex. fresh fruit, vegetables, power bar).

• Note pad and pencil (audio and/or video taping is not allowed).

• A favorite hat and a hand help prop.

• A complete, or nearly completed, performance piece.

• A good night’s sleep, an open mind and the courage to take risk.

We will provide...

• Skills equipment.

• Video camera (Intensive program).

• Sound equipment (if driving).

• Patience, understanding, motivation and knowledge.

• Over twenty five years of combined teaching experience.

• Full performances can be provided.
